Urban Life Outreach- 7/8/26
At today’s Urban Life outreach session, we taught students how to build a Lego Mindstorms robot that they can remotely control through an obstacle course. The students learned different robotic subsystems, like mechanical, electrical, and software. An improvement for next year is to have more Team Inspiration teachers so we can create more groups, as this year we were only able to have 3 groups, since the others were preparing for the RoboSub competition. Towards the end of the outreach, we asked all the students if they liked building robots, and they said they loved it, and on a scale from 1-10 of how much they enjoyed it, they said 67,000,000. This robot-building activity was very hands-on and fun for everyone.
